Dive Rite brings their NiTek line of dive computers to the next level with the lightweight Nitek X with the big 2.7” screen and the font of 22 points on the display. Nitek X is full decompression, multi-gas computer, suitable for advanced and demanding divers. It is also intuitive and easy to learn, making it a good option for a first computer for less experienced. Choosing between menus and setting up the dive does not require serious study of the guidebook. The decompression logarithm the Dive Rite Nitek X uses is the same as other computers in this line – adapted Bühlmann ZH-L16, which can be pre-programmed by divers. One of the novelties of the NiTek X is the closed-circuit re-breather, which includes calculations for sensor decompression. The NiTek X provides decompression information during the decompression dive, based on gas mixes pre-set by a diver. Diver can change gas mix during the dive, if he wishes. Features
• Seven gas mixtures are monitored, including helium, oxygen and nitrogen What customers sayMost reviews for Nitek X come from test divers, who had no negative comments so far. The most notable features were ease of use and the size of digits on the screen and the conservative logarithm. Computer does many things for the diver, like warning about things diver did not do before the dive (set nitrox mix, for example). Multiple gas mix was also noted as a good feature, as well as separate display PO2 bar. Divers find this computer particularly suitable for deeper dives, particularly for technical dives. Workbench software was also noted as very good. |
