The Mares Icon HD Nitrox Dive Computer is the first dive computer with a full-color screen. The screen is Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology. Large numbers, and the contrast achieved by colors, make the Mares Icon HD Nitrox Dive Computer clear, readable and simple to use.

The Icon HD has two dive modes: EXTEND (standard mode), and the PROFILE (dive mode). Divers can change between the two during the dive. The computer’s memory stores photos and images, including diving sites digital maps. Mares Icon HD Nitrox Dive Computer has the easy to use and easy to read digital compass. The fact that this dive computer shows the entire dive in real time borders on science fiction.

Like several other Mares computers, Icon HD can be set to more conservative profiles if needed. With multiple dives or multi-level dives during a same day, a diver can choose different settings for each dive, and is able to set the computer to a more conservative profile.

This dive computer is part of the Mares She Dives collection. Its design, ergonomics and lightness are specifically chosen with female divers in mind.

What Customers Say

Customers loved the very bright, very easy to read and really well organized "3D" display. They found the Mares Icon HD very intuitive, comfortable to wear, with the excellent digital compass. The computer has good visibility on the screen even in lake with poor visibility. The divers were pleased with the large number of features, like easy parameters setting, especially for instructors, dive site maps upload, dive graph visible during the dive, and many others.

On the negative side, they did not like that this dive computer, with all its advanced features, has no air integration at this time. Wonderfully bright display has a downside. The rechargeable battery lasts about 5-6 dives, so the diver has to find an outlet to charge it every night. Another complaint was that there is no multi-gas function.
