The Mares Mission Puck 3 dive computer console consists of two parts: the computer capsule, made of the shock resistant elastomeric techno polymer, and a pressure gauge/compass, made of brass, which is chrome-plated. The Easy Access push buttons allow the diver to operate the computer in all conditions, even when wearing thick gloves. Navigating through the computer programs is extremely simple and very intuitive. Batteries are user-replaceable. The computer uses RGBM algorithm (Reduced Gradient Bubble Model) to calculate decompression stops. This advanced technology is used to prevent the creation of micro-bubbles. There are multiple attachment loops for flexible attachment. One interesting feature is the option to exclude audible alarms, popular among advanced divers, who are often complaining about too conservative setups, creating alarms when there was no cause for them.
• RGBM What customers thinkThere were only three reviews available on the web, what is quite rare. In general, console dive computers are much less reviewed, possibly because the dive watches are so much cooler looking, and can be used out of the water as regular watches. One customer found his Mission Puck to be very user friendly. Other, the beginner diver, found his computer easy to use and easy to read. The third customer was happy with his Mission Puck, but found that one button makes it sometimes difficult to select menus. |
