Product Description

The Mares Nemo Sport dive computer is an extremely functional computer in a small, nicely designed, sporty and elegant, with thermoplastic case, mineral glass display and battery cover made of steel. It is attractive both as a tool for avid divers, and as a watch for normal use. It is equipped for both air and Nitrox dives (up to 99%). It uses the Mares-Wienke (RGBM) algorithm for stopping the creation of nitrogen bubbles.

RGBM stands for "Reduced Gradient Bubbles Model". Nemo may be set individually to a more or less conservative profile, as needed. For divers that do more than one dive during a single day, there is an option to change setting level for each dive, in order to set a more conservative profile. The push buttons allow the diver to use the computer even with thick gloves. Going through menus is intuitive and simple.

Features

• Mares RGBM
• Deep stops (greater depths decompression stops) for safer dives
• Safety stop
• Nitrox and Air dive modes
• Watch with alarm clock feature and two time zones
• The mineral glass is non-reflective, shock-proof and tempered
• Easy Access push buttons easy to navigate

What Customers Say

The most common comment about the Mares Nemo Sport is that it is very easy to use and read, that it is comfortable and functional, but a little retro looking. The customers are pleased that the data like depth, dive time, no decompression time, PO2, nitrogen loading, safety stop, and ascent rate warning are all displayed on one screen. Automatic 'deep no decompression safety stop' is considered by many to be a great safety feature. The divers find that the watch is as good under water as it is on the surface, where it can be used as a regular watch.

Many found the manual a bit tricky and in too fine a print, and that it was easier to learn to use the computer by simply using it because of its reasonably intuitive functions. Divers complained about the fact that the batteries are not user-replaceable and that they have to be changed by an authorized dealer, what is not always possible.

Another complaint was that the computer stores only 30 dives in its memory. One customer found that the highly reflective screen makes the computer difficult to read on the surface, but there is no problem under water.
