Great dive computer for the price, the Oceanic veo 100 wrist computer is basic dive computer that is easy to use and has all the information easy to see. It is one of the best first dive computers for the beginner divers. "Hockey Puck" design and fairly large size makes all data easily accessible. Oceanic Veo 100 is water or manually activated. The batteries are diver-replaceable and can be changed between dives. The memory holds 12 dives.

The Veo’s red, green and yellow Graphic Interface allows for a fast and easy visual reference. This computer is very easy to use and learn. The screen literally shows “green" when all is OK. Dive Time Remaining provides a real number of minutes. This computer uses Oceanic Personal Dive Computer Algorithm to calculate decompression stops. It also has automatic Safety Stop Prompt.

What Customers Say

Some customers found the Oceanic Veo 100 easy to learn and easy to see during the day, others complained about the steep learning curve and a lot of subtle items on the display that require practice. The sequential access to the functions was annoying to some divers. They found the strap that fits around the wetsuit very comfortable. Several problems were noted: that there are no audible alarms and no backlight and that there is a lack of temperature information.

Some divers found the computer easy to use: it has three main screens that the diver can switch between: depth, max depth, no decompression time, depth and no deco time, and elapsed dive time (3) depth, temp, time of day and dive time remaining. Depth and no decompression time are always displayed in large easy to read numbers. The computer suggests safety stop at the end of the dive, with a count down much like a deco stop. Many divers liked that the computer is water activated if you forget to turn it on.
