Product Description

It is surprising to users to see how large the characters are on the display of this really small dive computer: it is only 2 3/8” square. It is also extremely thin: only 5/8” In that tiny package, the digits are ½” tall. It makes this dive computer an excellent option to older dives and those that have eyesight problems. The Tusa DC Sapience dive computer is the only dive computer with the vibrating alert for all its alarms. In the often noisy or poor visibility underwater environment, it surely makes more sense than relying on the visual or sound alarms. The beeps are optional in the setup menu for those who prefer them. The IQ-800 Sapience is compatible to Nitrox mixtures between 21 and 99 percents.

What Customers Say

There is no way pleasing everyone, so some customers were very happy with how conservative the decompression algorithm of theTusa DC Sapience is, and others were annoyed. The same was the case with the vibrating alarm, which some found an excellent innovation, and others annoying. The countdown timer was noted as nice by all. The backlight is considered too short.

Divers found this computer easy to operate even with big neoprene gloves because of oversized buttons and digits. Some divers found the computer too sensitive to depth changes, others complained that it did not have free diving option. Many liked how thin the computer is, so it does not get caught with other gear.
