Product Description

The Tusa Zen dive computer has a range of features, some of them unique for this model, like automatic activation of deep stop after the diver comes to more than 80 feet depth and stays longer than one second. After climbing to 50 feet, the computer recommends safety stop at 40 feet for two minutes. This safety feature is not mandatory, but is strongly recommended, as it allows diver to off-gas.

Other features are as expected of a sophisticated dive computer: air/nitrox mix, sound alarms, manual or water activation, diver replaceable battery, free dive and gauge mode and very strong backlight. The screen has large digits and is very easy to monitor in or out of water. In addition, this dive computer comes in a nice package – it looks like a sleek watch many divers wear at the office as well and it comes in titanium grey and black or just black color.

Tusa Zen uses modified Haldanean 12 decompression compartment algorithm. It has four modes: Nitrox, air, watch and free dive. The batteries can be changed during dive (‘hot swap’) without loosing data. Tusa offers free online classes to help divers take full advantage of the computer’s sophisticated features.

What Customers Say

Customers find the Tusa Zen dive computer very suitable for people who are not computer-savvy. The log access and ability to plan the dive were mentioned as very attractive features. The computer is easy to use and understand and the price is very attractive too. The normal watch size offers surprisingly large digits, easy to read in the water and out of it. Users like the water activation, which helps if the diver is not very experienced and forgets to turn his dive computer on.

Because of the large number of features, users recommend reading the manual in detail, but they accept that many features will be clear only after a number of divers. The manual is clear and well organized. The computer also comes with a quick reference card with all main features.
